About
BoostWorksHQ
We build operating systems for small shops. Not software for software's sake — the specific views an owner, supervisor, or coordinator needs to run a week without surprises.
Why ReadyOps exists
The gap in the middle
There are two kinds of tools available to a twelve-person machine shop. There are spreadsheets someone built five years ago that nobody fully trusts. And there is an ERP with an implementation timeline, a consultant, and a monthly bill that assumes a full-time administrator.
Most shops in the middle do not need the ERP. They need the job list to be right, the material to be there, the PM to happen, and the setup to be written down. That is a narrow, solvable problem.
ReadyOps starts as a set of Excel operating systems because that is what shops already know how to open, edit, and print. The cloud platform comes next, and it will keep the same field names so nothing you set up in a workbook gets thrown away.
Who we build for
- Machine shops running 20 to 200 open jobs
- Fabrication and weld shops quoting to promise dates
- Repair businesses juggling customer work and internal jobs
- Small independent used-car dealers reconditioning and reselling vehicles
- Owners, supervisors, foremen, coordinators, and office managers
If you already run an ERP well, these systems are probably redundant. We will tell you that rather than sell you a workbook you do not need.
How we work
Five rules we hold to
Start with the daily routine
A system that takes twenty minutes a day does not survive a busy week. If it cannot be updated in five minutes, it is the wrong design.
Plain language over software vocabulary
Jobs, work centers, WIP, reorder points, PM schedules, SOP revisions. Terms your team already uses on the floor.
You own your data
No macros and no outside data connections. The workbook sits on your drive and does exactly what you can see it doing.
Ship what is finished
The cloud platform is in development. We describe each feature as planned, in development, or available — nothing else.
No inflated claims
No income promises, no invented customer counts, no fabricated certifications. If we have not earned it, it is not on the site.
